Jessica Lucas, most known for her role as Lily in Cloverfield, is moving into Melrose Place. The actress will play Riley Richmond, a rich young woman who works as an inner-city elementary teacher. So the new Melrose will have beautiful people, and they’ll have a heart. See, it’s not just a redux. The all new Melrose Place spinoff will be doing good deeds.
Jessica appeared already in the fictional universe during the first season of the CW’s 90210. Although both Melrose’s were spin-offs of their Beverly Hills counterparts, the role Lucas played previously has nothing to do with Riley. Jessica joins Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Katie Cassidy, who have already been cast in the series.
