Osbourne To Replace Brandy On America's Got Talent

Summer is nearly upon us and with it comes the return of ‘America’s Got Talent.’ The talent competition scored the highest ratings among new TV shows last summer. This year the show will return with a new judge and host. Sharon Osbourne has signed on as the token female judge and Jerry Springer will play host to the series in its second season.

Last summer, the series premiered; showcasing a variety of talents as people from all over the country auditioned and showed off their skills. The talents ranged from the usual singing and dancing to yodelers, contortionists, and people with strange skills like the ability to snap ridiculously fast to the rhythm of a song. In its first season, the judges were Brandy, David Hasselhoff and Piers Morgan (an English journalist). Brandy has left the series and will be replaced by Osbourne.

According to Contactmusic.com, Brandy’s spokeswoman said, “Brandy has enjoyed her association with the programme. However, she felt she couldn't give the new season the attention and commitment it deserved.”

After the car accident Brandy was involved in last December which left one woman dead, the singer has had a number of legal battles, including being sued by the woman’s family. It is probable that she’ll want to keep her career commitments to a minimum until she can get through this very unfortunate mess.

Meanwhile, Ozzy’s wife, whose spent decades working in the talent industry, will step in to fill Brandy’s shoes.
