TNT Cancels Trust Me

Bad news for Eric McCormack and Tom Cavanagh. It was announced today that TNT is cancelling their drama series Trust Me. In Trust Me, McCormack and Cavanagh play a pair of advertising executives whose contrasting personalities make them successful as a team. The series premiered in late January and despite The Closer’s lead-in, suffered in the ratings from the start.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the series premiere took in 3.4 million viewers and dropped down to 1.9 million viewers the following week. News of the cancellation shouldn’t be that much of a surprise, considering McCormack was signed on for an ABC comedy pilot called Tad Quill.

HR also mentioned that TNT has a number of other shows set to air later this year, including Ray Romano's Men of a Certain Age, the Jada Pinkett Smith-starring medical drama Time Heals and the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced cop drama The Line, starring Dylan McDermott.
