Keri Russell is following up her amazing turn in the even more amazing movie Waitress (yes Rafe, you are the only one) by doing an Adam Sandler starring redo of Jumanji. At least that’s sort of what it sounds like.

Variety says Russell has been hired to star as the female lead in Sandler’s Disney backed fantasy comedy Bedtime Stories. The movie casts Sandler as a man who tells bedtime stories to his niece and nephew, only to have his lavish tales turn real. Actually, maybe it’s more of a cross between Jumanji and A Night at the Museum. Expect monkeys. Keri Russell will be stuck as the film’s obligatory love interest.

Adam Shankman, who was most recently responsible for remaking Hairspray. But don’t hold that against him. Instead, hold Cheaper by the Dozen 2 or The Pacifier against him.
