Prometheus 4-Disc Collectors Edition 3D Blu-ray Will Come With 7 Hours Of Bonus Features

The big Blu-ray release of Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has been in our minds for a while, thanks to an Amazon teaser of the special features and an early digital release. Fans who are really on the ball have known the set was going to hit homes on October 9, but we haven’t been privy to the full list of bonus features, until now. If you’ve been staving off to purchase the digital copy to get all the extras, you should be exceptionally happy about the number of special features in the upcoming set.

When a French Prometheus set hinted at over 2 hours of bonus features, it seemed like an awful lot, but the Prometheus 4-Disc Collectors Edition 3D Blu-ray will actually come with over seven hours of extras. Fox Home Entertainment is really packing them in, including everything from commentary to deleted scenes, and from featurettes to screen tests.



Prometheus’ tale is an epic one about a mission in space and fighting for mankind. It stars Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Logan Marshall-Green, and Guy Pearce. Some of the real highlights of the film are the special effects, and it’s nice to see the Collectors Edition will offer information about the creation of the look of Prometheus and the crew's journey.

While a 2-Disc Blu-ray collection will be available, even if you don’t own a 3D TV, the Collectors Edition will be your best bet in terms of bonus features. You can check out the full list of extras for both sets, below.
