Saw 8 Will Be The Last... Unless It's Not

Everyone claims to be sick of the Saw franchise, but the box office figures suggest otherwise. Sure, each of the sequels since the first one have made slightly less than the one before, but these things cost nothing to make and still make a guaranteed $50 million domestically.

And that's why Tobin Bell, speaking to Bloody Disgusting at E3, confirmed that the plan is to end with Saw 8, but Saw 9 is definitely not out of the question. ""Final is a relative word. Especially in entertainment."

Especially in Saw, really, since Bell's character Jigsaw was supposed to have died several movies ago, but manages to put in appearances now and then. At this point it really seems silly to rail against the Saw franchise, which seems as much a part of the movie landscape as superheroes. If the people want eighth and ninth movies, give it to 'em. Just don't make me review them.
