Though the trailers make it look like Inglourious Basterds takes place in Germany as angry American soldiers roam the countryside scalping Nazis, most of it actually happens inside a Paris movie theater. The theater is forced by the Nazis to show mostly German propaganda movies and in fact the climax of the film centers around the events that occur during the gala premiere of one of those films.

That means in addition to watching Brad Pitt attempt a funny southern accent, you’ll also likely see snippets of black and white German propaganda films being projected up on screen. In fact, you’ll probably see a film called Nation’s Pride. It’s about the heroism of Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels, and it’s being advertised via a fake trailer on Apple.
