Zack Snyder Goes Heavy Metal![]()
I have a confession to make - I never have really gotten into the whole Heavy Metal animated movie thing. Since the original flick isn’t a cult obsession for me, I can’t say I’m too excited about another one, although the lineup of directors they’re getting to take on more Heavy Metal vignettes is pretty amazing.
Previously it was announced that Gore Verbinski and David Fincher had agreed to direct segments of the new Heavy Metal, and one of the biggest names in pop culture filmmaking has just been added to the mix - Producer Kevin Eastman (yeah, one of the creators of the Ninja Turtles) announced via the Heavy Metal Forum that Zack Snyder has also agreed to take on a segment. That means the guy who brought comic books to life with 300 and Watchmen is about to go full animation - just imagine the possibilities. Eastman also hinted that the movie, which is currently without a studio, may wind up back at Paramount after having been all but accepted there before and having the deal fall through. As he says, “gotta love Hollywood.” |
