Lady Gaga Addresses Her Weight And Her Madonna Issues In Twitter Rant
By Mack Rawden 1 year ago
It’s one thing for an outrageous pop star to get criticized for pushing the bounds of good taste or for releasing a piece of art too eccentric for the general public to get. Lady Gaga spent a half decade or so generating an incredible number of those headlines, but over the past year or so, the press attention related to her has become pretty negative, even from the sources who once supported her. She’s feuded with Madonna, feuded with Perez Hilton and gotten her ass spanked in a head-up release date war with Katy Perry. So, with her back a bit against the wall for the first time in years, Gaga has decided to use the release of her newest track to let the haters know she’s going to keep pushing forward.
In what could be described as a strange piece of psychology, Gaga got on her Twitter account yesterday and started giving voice to all of the issues people have had with her lately. Along with each complaint, she tweeted a corresponding picture and responded with either a snarky comment or a fun hashtag. You can take a look at some of the tweets in question below…
Say what you will about Gaga, but she’s a master of publicity. She knew damn well everyone would swoop in and cover this story because of all the juicy subjects she addressed, and in doing so, the outlets, including this one, would be obligated to tell fans her new track is called “Do What U Want”. It features R Kelly, and it’s available for purchase right now. Only time will tell, however, if it’s able to break her recent slump and sell like hotcakes.
Well played, Gaga. Well played.
