After the second season was cut short due to the writers’ strike, Heroes returns for a third season that will pick up where the second season left off. The series centers on various people from around the world (mostly the U.S.) who have discovered they have super abilities. Some of those people (Peter, Claire, Hiro, etc) want to use their powers for good and help save humanity from the people who want to use their special abilities for their own evil agendas. Among them is Sylar, the first season’s big bad who was nearly killed and spent last season trying to regain the abilities he acquired from stealing (and I’m assuming, eating – was that ever confirmed?) the brains of various heroes in the first season.

When the third season resumes, we’ll see more time travel, attempts to save the past, new missions and of course, new villains. CB Head Honcho Josh caught the season premiere at a screening at Comic Con this summer. It’s got some spoilers so consider yourself warned!
