New Girl Season 1 DVD Promises Plenty Of Extra Jokes

New Girl may have been snubbed a little bit in this year’s Emmy nominations, but the ratings speak far more highly of Fox’s breakout comedy. New Girl ended Season 1 on an extremely high note, pulling in a 27% increase in viewers in its final episode. It seems the freshman comedy has already nabbed plenty of interest, but for anyone who has yet to get on board, New Girl: Season 1 will be headed your way in October.



Fox Home Entertainment is releasing New Girl: Season 1 on DVD on October 2nd, which will actually be a huge bummer for anyone wanting to catch up with the series. Season 2 of the Zooey Deschanel-led show will premiere on September 25th, so fans won’t even have a week to load up on episodes if they missed out on any of Season 1. If it's any consolation, Fox is putting together a pretty reasonable set, including alternate jokes, deleted scenes, and commentary. You can check out the full list of specs, below.
