Preview: Steve Jobs Biographer Walter Isaacson On 60 Minutes

On Sunday, Walter Isaacson, the former managing editor of Time and author of the upcoming Steve Jobs biography , will discuss the Apple co-founder in an interview with 60 Minutes. Speaking with interviewer Steve Kroft, Isaacson will discuss Job’s life, and especially, the months leading to his untimely death.

Isaacson is a great orator, telling a compelling story about a man who chose to implement natural medicines and alternative therapies before choosing to have the pancreatic surgery his body so desperately needed. According to Isaacson, Jobs rebelled against having his body opened up. Nine months later, Jobs did go in for the treatment, but it was too late.

According to CBS News, Isaacson was able to interview Jobs over three dozen times for his biography, so he has a lot of insight into the man’s illness, strengths, and weaknesses. You can check out a snippet from Sunday’s interview, below.

The 60 Minutes episode will air on CBS on Sunday, October 23 at 7 p.m. ET. The book goes on sale on October 24th.
