Touch First Look Featurette Offers Plot Details From Fox's Upcoming New Drama

For those of us who are looking forward to Fox’s upcoming new drama Crush, we need only wait until the end of the month to see the special preview of the premiere. Of course, after that we have to wait until March. There is a new featurette for the show that shows more than a little bit of footage from the series.

I’m actually starting to think that I may already know too much about pilot after watching this video, so keep that in mind before you view it. In addition to featuring creator Tim Kring and Kiefer Sutherland as they talk about the show, the video also features what I’m assuming is the voice of David Mazouz, who plays Jake in the series. From what we know of his character, he doesn’t talk, so the narration may be the only time we actually get to hear him speak.

More spoilery talk (and video) beyond this point!

So, from what I can surmise from the above video, Jake has some kind of premonition about a bus accident, which he interprets through numbers. But because he doesn’t talk, he has to figure out some way to get his father Martin Bohm to understand this, so he climbs a tower where he’ll be spotted by the camera at 3:18 p.m., which also happens to be the number on the bus that’s going to be in some kind of accident. Martin unlocks all the clues and saves the day or at the very least, figures out that his son is trying to communicate with him. That’s what I got out of it anyway. Either way, from an episode to episode perspective, something like this could be fun and interesting, assuming that’s the direction they’re taking, perhaps also including some larger mystery to be unlocked over the course of the season or series.

Touch debuts with a special preview Wednesday, Jan. 25 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), then makes its series premiere Monday, March 19 (9:00-10:07 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
