Ride The Trans-Siberian Express On Blu-Ray

Get out your winter coats, hats and boots because you’re going on a chilling trip from Beijing to Moscow. First Look Studios will release the thriller Transsiberian on DVD and Blu-Ray November 4th.

A typical American couple, Roy (Woody Harrelson) and Jessie (Emily Mortimer), opt to take the long scenic route home from a trip to Asia via the Trans-Siberian Express. They hope the journey will help them patch up their rocky relationship while they enjoy the snow-laden scenery. While on their journey, they meet another couple, Carlos (Eduardo Noriega) and Abby (Kate Mara). What at first seems to be a harmless relationship between the couples turns complicated when Jessie discovers their new friends may have a different agenda. Things become even more complex when Russian detective, Ilya Grinko (Ben Kingsley), steps into the picture digging deep into the secrets Jessie accumulates throughout the film.

If you’re craving action and mystery, this might be a film you should consider buying. No matter how cliché this may sound, I was definitely sitting on the edge of my seat the entire film. When it comes down to choosing between the Blu-ray version and the standard DVD, I lean more towards the latter. First off, the only special features this disc will come with are previews and subtitles. And secondly, one of the scenes was hard enough to look at on the big screen, I don’t know if I could handle it in the clarity of Blu-ray. So for me it’ll be the $28.98 for the DVD. For those of you who decide otherwise, the Blu-ray version will cost you $34.98.
