Zero Point Software unleashed the latest version of Interstellar Marines's Deadlock 0.4.0. You might remember that back in February Zero Point let loose version 0.3.0, showing off new weather and environmental effects. Well, in 0.4.0 they added even more features and even more gameplay immersion.
The newest trailer shows off the improved weapon handling, the advanced environmental audio effects, as well as the simulation oriented atmosphere and aesthetics. In other words, the game looks gorgeous, the weapons are handling like a dream and the graphics are absolutely sleek.
I especially like the way the weapons are handled in this game. It seems very similar to Operation 7, which goes down in history as one of my all-time favorite FPS titles when it comes to weapon handling. The guns in that game felt right, and the guns in Interstellar Marines have a very similar, weighty feel to them. I love that.
Gamers interested in testing out the play mechanics and weapon dynamics in the latest Deadlock 0.4.0 release, can do so at this very moment. The latest mini-game for Interstellar Marines leading up to its grand-fantastic release is playable over at the Official Interstellar Marines Website.
