99 Problems For Sony

Mega-producer Joe Roth has picked up a new project called 99 Problems. Make your own cheesy joke relating the name to a difficult production. I just got back from vacation, it’s Monday morning, and I don’t have the energy.

The Hollywood Reporter says the script, to be written by Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont, is about a ladies man looking to settle down. But before he does, the movie’s babe hound wishes he could date as many women as possible before being fully domesticated. Surprise! His wish comes true and it’s not as fun as he’d hoped.

Suzanne Todd, half of Team Todd (Suzanne and Jen Todd), will produce the film for Sony Pictures. Suzanne describes it rather vaguely as “a comedy with a hear of gold.” Thanks for that scintillating bit of information Suz. They’re also comparing it to Liar Liar, so don’t be surprised to see Jim Carrey’s name floating around amidst casting rumors, whenever those start.
