Arnett Chases Dream Girl

What do you when your great TV show is on the verge of being cancelled? You can either cry and drown your sorrows in Haagen-Daz ice cream, or you can keep the weight off and pursue a movie career instead.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Will Arnett, the quirky womanizing magician from Arrested Development, is set to star in a new untitled comedy released by Imagine Entertainment. Joining him will be writer Chuck Martin, and directors Anthony and Joe Russo-- also previously involved with the show. The gang's all back together, but without most of the cast. Semantics.

The comedy is about a guy who brags to his dream girl at their 20th high school reunion, about all of his great accomplishments and successes. Naturally, he is lying, and his secrets are about to be discovered when she tracks him down for a visit in New York. He convinces his friends to continue the facade of his rich and prosperous life, in an attempt to win her over. Of course we know that sort of thing doesn't work. Didn't anyone see Romy and Michele's High School Reunion?

Arnett can next be seen in Monster-In-Law, opening in early summer.
