Kutcher Celebrates Father’s Day

Sunday, June 15, is Father’s Day -- a holiday that is sorely overlooked. For whatever reason, Father’s Day doesn’t have the guilt weight of Mother’s Day. Where you have to shower your mom in flowers and chocolates, dad usually gets the shaft. In the film world, respect for dear old dad is coming from the most unlikely source – Ashton Kutcher. Apparently, Columbia caught the pitch for Father’s Day as a potential starring vehicle for Kutcher, reporters Variety.

Very little is known about the project, other than Ian Deitchman and Kristin Robinson are writing the multi-generational comedy. The team previously wrote First Kiss and a rewrite of Miss Captivity. At very least, this announcement should serve as a reminder for Father’s Day. So this Sunday, pick up a card and hang out with dad.
