Leaked Footage From The Griswold's Next Vacation

It says leaked footage, but the reality of it is that this is just a teaser for a short film that will premiere on Sunday over at Homeaway.com. Either way, you're going to be getting your first real look at where New Line is taking the new Vacation sequel on February 7th.

Based on this 27-second clip from Vacation: Hotel Hell, you'll already see that New Line has made at least one good decision in putting Clark and Ellen Griswold back in their green, wood paneled bomber as they road trip to see their son. That car is iconic, and the fact that they haven't mucked around with that tradition is a good sign right off the bat. Even though the focus of the film will be the Griswold's son Rusty and his family, the now grandparents Clark and Ellen will still appear.

It's still very early in the production process of the feature length version, which isn't slated for release until 2011, but this short seems like it may bridge a little bit of the gap between Vegas Vacation and this new sequel. No names have been attached to the film yet other than Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo, but we can only hope that original director Harold Ramis will return to get his career back on track after that biblical tragedy Year One. Check out the teaser below.
