Own The Dude's Bachelor Pad From The Big Lebowski

Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski from the Coen brother's cult film The Big Lebowski may dress like a schlub and be epically unemployed, but die hard fans know why he's not really hurting for cash or living on the streets. In an early draft of script it was revealed that The Dude was heir of the inventor of the Rubik's Cube and never really had to do much in the way of work. It was, of course, never mentioned in the movie, but it does go a long way in explaining how he could afford his swanky pad, which now could be yours.
LA Weekly has discovered a real estate listing for The Dude's bachelor pad over on Bull Dog Realtors. While the $2.3 million price tag may seem a bit high, the reason is because the listing is actually for all six one-bedroom "bungalows" in the complex. If you're looking for it to be a perfect replica of what was seen in the 1998 film, however, you may be a bit disappointed. Said Winston Cenac, the realtor handling the real estate, "In the movie the whole compound is very rundown. The people who bought it upgraded it."
We've posted items like this before, including both Cameron's Ferrari and house from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, but I'd sell my left testicle just so that I could put a bid in on this house. Why? The reason is simple: I'd open the apartments up for rent and every month I'd go around wearing khaki short shorts and invite the tenants to my interpretative dance recital. I'd even go as far as to rent a theater, craft a routine and invite Charlie Kaufman to come down and sit in the back. Yes, I am that dedicated.
