Pink Panther Remake Sequel

Remember that remake of The Pink Panther that came out last year? No? Me Neither. Apparently, Columbia Pictures and MGM remember, as they have tapped Harald Zwart to direct a sequel, reports The Hollywood Reporter. Zwart is the genius behind such smash hits as One Night at McCool’s and Agent Cody Banks; that's exactly the type of director that should tackle a sequel to a remake of a movie that was made over 40 years ago.

Of course, Steve Martin will reprise his role as the inane Inspector Jacques Clouseau. It took two people, Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber, to write the screen play for the sequel, which could have been done faster and better by a team of screenwriting chimps. It seems the only picture this crack team is prepared to handle is a Pink Panther cartoon. Rumor is that the production has ordered 100,000 sq. ft of insulation.
