Prometheus Promo Image Gives Us A Detailed Look At Ridley Scott's Ship

Franchise blockbusters like The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises might be leading the race for the title of “Most Anticipated” summer movie, but Sir Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has climbed to the top of my must-see list thanks to an in-depth ad campaign that has allowed most of filmmaker’s sci-fi wizardry to do the talking. After that recent, mind-blowing trailer, we have a new image (courtesy of IGN) that highlights the design of the USCSS Prometheus, the ship that carries our protagonists to the darkest corners of our universe:
Normally I’d argue, in a sci-fi story like this, that the ship has the potential to be a character in and of itself. And that still might end being the case. But the scope of the Prometheus trailers and clips suggests so manay other things happening that the ship is one of the last things I’m thinking about seeing in this movie. What about you? Were you curious about the vessel that brings Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender and their crew to … well, to wherever it is that they are heading? Or are you more interested in what they find when they get there?
Prometheus has the potential to be the breakout hit of the Summer, the movie that most of us are still talking about decades from now – kind of like we do with Alien, the movie that seems to have set the stage for the action in Prometheus. June 8 can’t get here soon enough.
