Over at Deadline Hollywood Nikki Finke usually never misses an opportunity to pick on somebody, be they executive or agent or bona fide movie star, so it's a little strange to see today's story that exists basically to congratulate Ron Livingston for being awesome. I mean, we all love the guy who starred in Office Space, and broke up with Carrie via Post-It on Sex and the City, but it's a little strange to realize Deadline Hollywood is in his corner.

Anyway, they have reason to celebrate him, as Livingston has booked two new roles in two very different movies. First he'll show up in the indie Ten Year, a dramedy about a ten-year high school reunion that already stars a lot of young actors you'll recognize: Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan, Anna Faris, Chris Pratt, Kate Mara, Chris Pine, Anthony Mackie, Justin Long, Rosario Dawson and Brian Geraghty. Given that Livingston is a solid 10-15 years older than the rest of the cast, I'd guess he's not going to be playing one of the classmates, but maybe a teacher, or an older boyfriend? Either way he'll be moving on to the Disney project The Odd Life of Timothy Green, which will star Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Garner as parents who wish for a baby and get something they didn't expect. No word on who he'll play in there either, but I'm siding with Nikki Finke on this one: the more Livingston, really, the better.
