Sean Bean At The Root Of All Evil

Sean Bean is doing a movie for which he is perfectly suited. Or at least the title is now perfectly suited for him. According to Moviehole the film, which was formerly titled Cache, has been retitled as The Root of All Evil.

If you don’t know why that’s appropriate for a Sean Bean movie, then you have no idea who Sean Bean is. If there’s a movie with a bad guy in it, there’s usually a good chance Sean Bean will be the actor playing him. Even in Lord of the Rings where he played Boromir, while Bean’s character ultimately sacrifices himself to save others, he’s a dark and brooding anti-hero who only does the right thing after spending most of Fellowship of the Ring sneering and plotting to steal the One Ring. Sean Bean is a bad dude, and no matter what the movie’s about The Root of All Evil is the perfect place for him.

MH actually has a few details on the plot of the film, which is being directed by Stephen Milburn Anderson. They say the film is a psychological thriller which examines the not so pretty truths about human nature. No word on who Bean will play in the movie, but you get bet you’re ass he’ll be somebody bad.
