New Trailer For Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel

When the teaser trailer for Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel debuted this summer, I complained that the Chipettes were heavily featured but didn't actually get to say a word. Now in the new trailer, available at MSN and embedded below, we have the opposite problem-- the Chipettes are limited to a cameo at the end, and they're singing "Single Ladies."

Yes, that somehow means Beyonce endorses this movie on some level, and that the song, if you weren't sick of it already, has been ruined forever. Sorry everyone. The song doesn't come in until the very end, though, in case you want to check out the trailer below for Jason Lee's incessant mugging, irritating high chipmunk voices, and the bizarre fact that, for some reason, the three chipmunk brothers are being sent to high school.... and joining the football team. That's even weirder than when the gay kid on Glee joined the team.

Watch the trailer below if you dare. The Squeakquel comes out Christmas Day.
