Watch The First Trailer For Philip Seymour Hoffman's Directorial Debut, Jack Goes Boating

Fan or no, it's impossible to deny that Philip Seymour Hoffman is one of the best actors working today. His range extends from the funniest of comedies to the darkest of dramas and if he were to break out laughing, crying and shouting all at the same time, you'd believe it. Now that's he's become a master of the acting world, it's time to see how he'll do as a director.

Trailer Addict has posted the first look at Hoffman's directorial debut, Jack Goes Boating. Starring Hoffman, Amy Ryan, John Ortiz and Daphne Rubin-Vega as a pair of couples living in New York City. Hoffman and Ryan play characters who otherwise blend into the background, but as they get to know each other fall deeper and deeper in love. But while their relationship moves forward, the one between Ortiz and Rubin-Vega begins to deteriorate.
