Is Zach Galifianakis Upset About The Mel Gibson Cameo In The Hangover 2?
Yesterday, it was made official that Mel Gibson would be making a "surprise" cameo in The Hangover 2 as a tattoo artist the boys run into. Most are seeing the special appearance as career rehab for the former Mad Max after abusive, racist, misogynistic rants came online a couple months ago. Naturally, some people aren't too pleased to see Gibson get work and further his career after his outburst, and one of those people may be Zach Galifianakis.
Vulture reports that the actor, who plays Alan Garner in the Todd Phillips comedy, recently appeared on the Comedy Death-Ray Radio podcast where he made it known that was was in "deep protest" about events transpiring on the set of the film he is currently working on. During the interview, he mentions that there are instances where he turns films down on "moral grounds," though he never mentions The Hangover 2 by name. Said Galifianakis,
Of course the idea that Gibson is the subject of Galifianakis' protest is entirely speculative. For all we know he could be upset about something else entirely or even simply joking. If his issue is with Gibson, however, would it be too hard to understand?
