When the Golden Globe nominees were announced this morning Zero Dark Thirty found itself as one of the most repeated titles. While not at the head of the class - Steven Spielberg's Lincoln holds that spot with nominations in seven categories - Kathryn Bigelow's latest film will be competing in four arenas, including "Best Picture, Drama," "Best Director," "Best Actress," and "Best Screenplay." At this time the only people who have seen the movie are critics and members of the press, but it has more than enough buzz leading into December 19th, when it will be given a limited release. And now Sony Pictures is making us want to see it more by delivering a brand new trailer.

The new spot has shown up over on Yahoo!, and it is straight up terrific. And while the footage is gripping, you just have to love the added touch of "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica sung by a choir. It reminds me of the Social Network trailers with Radiohead's "Creep" and it's just as effective. Watch it below!

Brought to you by the same writer-director team that brought your the Best Picture-winning The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty takes audiences into the history of the greatest manhunt of all time: the search for terrorist leader Osama bin Laden. While it was only Jessica Chastain that got a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in the film, the rest of the cast is absolutely spectacular, with talented actors like Joel Edgerton, Mark Strong, Jason Clarke, Jennifer Ehle, Chris Pratt, Edgar Ramirez, and James Gandolfini. The movie will be getting a wide release on January 11, 2013, but in the meantime you can find our more about it - and read Katey's review - in our Blend Film Database.
