My steadily growing love for ABC’s Happy Endings is very near a point at which the show could probably air an episode wherein Elisha Cuthbert's character Alex did nothing but sit in the background chowing on ribs the entire time and I’d be pleased as punch to watch. But tell me that a former Beverly Hills, 90210 actor is set to guest star in the finale, and I’m already falling in love with the show all over again just thinking about it.

Entertainment Weekly shared the news today, stating that Brian Austin Green is set to appear in the Season 2 finale of Happy Endings. He’ll play “a charming dude who winds up attending the nuptials of Penny’s other gay best friend Derrick (Stephen Guarino).” Some interesting additional notes on the character. He’s going to be flirting with Penny, and he’s “not in the best physical condition.” Huh? This should be interesting.

Green’s done plenty of television since his days as David Silver on Beverly Hills, 90210. He played Derek Reese in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and has gone on to appear in Smallville and Desperate Housewives since then. His Happy Endings appearance takes place on April 4.

And just for fun, since it's Friday (and because I brought it up...)...
