The first half of the season hasn’t ended yet, but the networks are already unleashing their plans to keep viewers when the shows kick back in come late January. Today CBS announced their midseason lineup, and thankfully it includes the Keith Mars (Eric Colantoni) helmed Flashpoint. Possibly the best thing CBS has done since How I Met Your Mother.

Flashpoint follows the officers in the Strategic Response Unit as they deal with crazy hostage situations. Plus the Pink Ranger is getting work, which makes me happy. Not that I ever watched Power Rangers. What? Flashpoint returns Friday, January 9th at 9pm ET.

Harper’s Island is described as a 13-episode mystery event. Family and friends come together on an island for a secluded wedding. There the festivities begin, followed soon by the death. It’s a murder mystery with twists and turns. But the biggest twist is that by the end of the 13-episode series all of the questions will be answered, and the murderer revealed. In a time when shows string us along it’s refreshing to know that there’s one show that’ll give us answers before a single season is over. Then again the production team behind Jericho is behind this show, and CBS will probably cancel it on episode 9. Harper’s Island begins Thursday, April 9th at 10pm ET and runs through Thursday, July 2nd.

Game Show In My Head is a hidden camera show from Ashton Kutcher. Did I miss when this guy became a viable television producer? Sure Punk’D was fun when they made Justin Timberlake flip his shit, but it pretty much was a rote formula in no time. Game Show In My Head has contestants performing ridiculous tasks to the public in order to win up to $50,000. Joe Rogan hosts as each contestant does something embarrassing for $5,000 five times in a row. Then the contestants can double their money in the obligatory bonus round. The Game Show begins Saturday, January 3rd at 8pm ET.

Also on the docket is the return of Survivor on Thursday, February 12th at 8pm ET and Emmy winning Amazing Race on Sunday, February 15th at 8pm ET.
