Community Preview: Early 21st Century Romanticism

After last week’s glorious Dungeons & Dragons themed episode, I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next with the rag-tag band of misfit college students on Community. Video clips ahead!

According to NBC’s episode description below, Andy Dick is set to guest star in this week’s episode. From the clips we have, it seems Troy and Abed have their sights set on a librarian and engage in what appears to be a genuinely friendly bit of competition to win her affections. If I were her, I wouldn’t be able to choose. Abed’s observational skills and honest nature would be refreshing but Troy seems like he’d be the better cuddler.

Meanwhile, Britta proudly befriends a woman she believes is a lesbian.

Below is NBC’s description and the clips. Unfortunately, none of it explains why Senor Chang appears to be dressed like Waldo (in the above photo). That is a mystery we’ll have to see unravel on Thursday.

IT’S VALENTINE’S DAY AND LOVE IS IN THE AIR AT GREENDALE COMMUNITY COLLEGE – ANDY DICK GUEST STARS, JOHN OLIVER (“The Daily Show”) RETURNS AS PROFESSOR DUNCAN – Troy (Donald Glover) and Abed (Danny Pudi) compete for the attentions of the college librarian, while Britta (Gillian Jacobs) strives to be progressive and befriends a fellow female student whom she believes is gay. Meanwhile, Jeff (Joel McHale) finds himself reluctantly hosting an impromptu party at his apartment when Professor Duncan (John Oliver) invites himself over to watch a soccer match. Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, Ken Jeong and Chevy Chase also star.

Community airs Thursday night at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC.
