Between Hells Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, we’ve seen plenty of Gordon Ramsay bossing people around the kitchen. In fact, when it comes to television, he’s sort of made a name for himself with his angry-chef persona but he does actually cook too and later this month, Fox will give viewers a chance to see some of that when they air his new special Gordon Ramsay: Cookalong Live.

From the information Fox released and the videos we have to share (below), it seems this special is geared toward everyone, including cooking novices. In the video interview we have below, Ramsay mentions the special’s website, which includes the ingredients and shopping-list for the food he’ll be preparing on the special. If you’d like to stock up so you can cook along with him, here’s the link to the Fox website.

Have you ever wanted to make a delicious three-course meal for your family? Want to invite your friends over for a unforgettable dinner? Or would you just like to treat your taste buds to something special? For the first time ever, Chef Gordon Ramsay is going to show you how to do just that, as he invites viewers all over America to cook along with him from the comfort of their very own kitchens. Based on the U.K. smash hit, Chef Ramsay is hosting the biggest cooking event America has ever seen. During a live one-hour special, hundreds of thousands of viewers will chop, mince, julienne and filet side-by-side with Chef Ramsay, and at the end of the hour, they will have cooked and served their very own fantastic three-course meal. Viewers will be prepped in advance with the list of ingredients, utensils and cookware they will need to keep up with Ramsay and ensure they won’t get thrown out of the kitchen. Known for his explosive outbursts and sharp tongue, Ramsay will provide step-by-step directions on how to cook three amazing courses of fresh, healthy, mouth-watering food.

As always, he’ll demand absolute perfection from everyone participating, so strap on your aprons, turn up the cooktop and join the 13 Michelin-starred chef live from Los Angeles for the most spectacular and scrumptious cooking television event.”

Below is a promo, a behind the scenes look (which is really just footage of Ramsay cooking stuff) and an video interview featuring Ramsay as he talks about the special.

Gordon Ramsay Cookalong Live airs Tuesday, Dec. 15, 9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed on Fox.
