House's Odette Annable To Recur On CBS Midseason Drama Golden Boy

Despite not quite nabbing Ryan Phillippe for the lead in Golden Boy, the CBS pilot is shaping up nicely, with Theo James set to star. Now, the drama following the rise of a police officer has also found its Assistant District Attorney to help crack cases. As it turns out, the role will go to Odette Annable, a 27-year-old actress who has spent the last couple of seasons playing roles on Fox shows like Breaking In and House.

Annable had a nice run during the final season of Fox’s House, playing Jessica Adams, a generous and helpful doctor who may be most known for going apeshit on a plastic skeleton after learning her husband cheated on her. The role suited Annable well, but it was unfortunately the end of the line for the formerly top-rated network series. According to Deadline, over the last few months, Annable has already earned a part on Cinemax’s Banshee, however, because that role will only be recurring, she has continued to look for more work.

Now, the actress has found a second recurring role with Golden Boy, where she will play Assistant D.A. Kat O’Connor. Since she is being marked as “young” and “attractive” as well as a character with a complex marriage story, she could even be a potential romantic interest for our lead cop. Of course, he is going to be busy rising through the ranks, and both of them will be busy catching bad guys, so we will have to wait to speculate further until midseason, when CBS’ new police drama will air.
