Showtime’s lesbian drama The L Word entered its sixth season this year. Clearly, somebody at the network thinks they’ve got a winning title structure, because Variety reports that Showtime has ordered a pilot for the terminal-illness comedy (you read that right) The C Word. Actress Laura Linney will star in and exec produce the dark comedy about a woman diagnosed with cancer. Darlene Hunt created the show and wrote the pilot script.
