Rudolph Has A Shiny New Year Later This Month

Everyone knows that the new year can’t begin without the Baby New Year. Well, that’s how the story goes anyway. In the stop-motion animated holiday special, Rudolph’s Shiny New Year Father Time hits a bit of a snag with the plans for New Years when Baby New Year Happy goes missing.

Poor Happy is constantly getting picked on for his oversized ears. It’s all very Dumboesque. Tired of being picked on for his huge ears, Happy runs away and Father Time turns to that famous reindeer, who knows a little bit about being different, to find Happy and get him home to take his position as the New Year. If Rudolph fails, the new year can’t commence and everyone will be stuck on December 30th.

Rudolph’s Shiny New Year airs TUESDAY, DECEMBER 30 (8:30-9:30 p.m., ET) on the ABC.
