Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition Confirmed For iPad, First Screenshots Arrive
Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition won't be a PC exclusive. Overhaul Games announced today that the remake of the Dungeons and Dragons RPG will be released for available for all iPad models as well.
BGEE updates the 1998 game with an improved version of the original Infinity Engine. It includes the original game, its Tales of the Sword Coast expansion pack, and new content as well. Today Overhaul revealed that they'll be adding both a new adventure and new party member to the game.
The iPad edition of BGEE is expected to hit the App Store this summer. That's the same timeframe that the PC version will arrive as well.
Overhaul also plans to release an Enhanced Edition of Baldur's Gate II in the future. They've also admitted that their long-term goal is to make Baldur's Gate 3. They hope to fund that project through crowd-sourcing site Kickstarter.
Screenshots of the iPad version of BG are below. In fact, they're the first screenshots released for the game period so PC gamers might want to check them out as well.
