Dragon Ball Z Kinect Announced
You know how all those times you and your friends run around pretending to shoot fireballs at each other and partaking in mock-fu to imitate your favorite Dragon Ball Z characters? Well, you'll actually be able to put those mock-fu skills and pretend-fireball actions to good use with the upcoming Dragon Ball Z Kinect.
The first-person fighting game will be the first of its kind in the Dragon Ball series, enabling Namco and developers Spike to take a very different kind of approach to the beloved franchise.
Carlson Choi, Vice President of Marketing, Namco Bandai Games America commented in the press release, saying...
“There’s going to be no better feeling in the world for fans of the Dragon Ball Z series than standing in front of their screens and unleashing their own fists and raging blasts upon enemies with this game,” ... “The Kinect sensor has truly enabled the development team to finally realize the dreams of millions of fans of both the classic games and the timeless original anime. This game will truly represent the next generation of interactive entertainment in the Dragon Ball Z universe.”
The game will join the likes of Star Wars Kinect, bringing the levels of high-octane embarrassment to a whole new level. Gamers will be able to perform their favorite special moves and super attacks by imitating them in front of the Kinect camera. There's also a QR code functionality which will enable gamers to unlock additional characters and power-ups by holding up the QR codes to the Kinect.
Dragon Ball Z Kinect sports two modes, 'Story Mode' and 'Score Attack Mode' with the first mode being a story-oriented experience with some CG-based quick-time events, while the latter mode simply sees players battling in intense one-on-one bouts to rack up a high score.
Dragon Ball Z Kinect is set for release this October exclusively for the Xbox 360 in Europe and North America. For more info feel free to pay a visit to the Official Namco Bandai Website.
