Today Microsoft released "Birth of a Spartan," the live-action teaser trailer for Halo: Reach. It's unfortunately not as exciting as you may have hoped.

Unlike the ODST live-action video, "Birth" doesn't have any battle scenes. It shows Carter-259, leader of Halo: Reach's Noble team, becoming a Spartan super-soldier. No, we don't see him combat training. He sits on a hospital bed and gets injected with...whatever the hell they inject potential Spartans with. An extended version that shows him on his way to his first post is available through Xbox Live for Gold subscribers.

While this video might not be that exciting, what is exciting is that Halo: Reach beta begins on Monday. Here at Blend Games we're giving away ten beta codes that will let you start playing it as early as tomorrow.
