MapleStory Live Brings 2D Questing To iOS And Android Devices
Over the past decade, tens of millions of gamers have made the cartoony 2D MMO world of MapleStory into their home away from home. Now that Nexon has announced the release of MapleStory Live for iOS and Android devices, all of those players can have a home away from home away from home, with all of the lighthearted adventuring of MapleStory now available on the go.
Like it's big brother on PC, MapleStory Live is free to play, though of course you can spend some actual money to speed up the process for getting the best gear and goods. In this mobile version, players can explore a massive map, huge 2D worlds overflowing with monsters, raise pets and pick between two initial classes, the Dual Blade and the Resistance Mechanic.
Nexon promises the complete MapleStory solo experience, meaning there should be hours upon hours of gameplay packed into this tiny, mobile package. And while you can't directly interact with other players in the game, a message board and mail system will allow you to stay connected to all of your MSL friends.
There's even a bonus for those who download MapleStory Live and leave a review on the App Store or Google Play by July 11. Meet that deadline for leaving feedback and you'll receive a Shadow Zamadar and The Negotiator as a free download. I'm not exactly familiar with the MapleStory universe, but those sound like unique weapons for the two available classes to me.
