Cold Souls isn't really the kind of movie you expect to see in the summer time-- it's a Sundance favorite starring Paul Giamatti, and featuring a plot about a company that extracts people's souls. But hey, counterprogramming has always been an effective tool, and we all may be in the mood for something a little more cerebral by the time the dog days of summer hit.Below we've got seven clips from the film, which introduce us to Giamatti and Emily Watson's warring couple, Giamatti's character's reason for having his soul extracted, and some kind of confrontation with a vaguely European and intimidating man. I admit, I can't really figure out what's going on in these scenes, but I assume seeing them in context would offer a lot. Anyway, check them all out below and get a look at what might turn out to be the smartest movie of the summer.
