First Shawn Levy and Ben Stiller brought The Museum of Natural History and The Smithsonian to life in the Night at the Museum movies. Then it was announced that Jon Favreau would be doing the same for for Disney theme parks in Magic Kingdom. Now it looks like someone has had the bright idea to bring holiday floats to life.

THR is reporting that a movie based around the Thanksgiving Macy's Day Parade is now in the works by producers Scott Glassgold and Raymond Brothers, who recently closed a deal for the rights. While the story isn't settled yet, Glassgold and Brothers have been meeting with writers and one idea being thrown around will see the giant floats come alive. In order to sell the clothing store on the concept, the producers hired artist Joel Venti to help draw their vision, which won over execs. Said Macy’s Senior Vice President Robin Hall, "We are always searching for the next Miracle on 34th Street."

I don't know if Glassgold and Brothers read this site, but I have a perfect name for this project - Product Placement: The Movie! Should this project actually find its way through development and I attend a screening, I plan on bringing a pitch counter and clicking it every time a brand is mentioned. Something tells me it will turn over to zero before the end of the film.
