Sam Wilson, best known as Falcon, has been a part of Captain America comic books since the mid-1960s as a friend and trusted ally of the patriotic superhero, and this made him a prime candidate to play an important role in the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Played by The Hurt Locker's Anthony Mackie, Sam makes his live-action debut in the Marvel Studios film and is portrayed as a war veteran working at the VA who is called upon by Cap when needed for a mission. But don't take my word for it. The studio has just released a brand new featurette centered on the character, which you can watch above.

Is that not enough for you? Well, that's fine because we have another special treat for you as well. In celebration of the Captain America sequel premiere last night in Los Angeles, Marvel has also released a brand new clip from the movie, with shows an amazing action sequence featuring both Cap and Falcon. Prepare for awesomeness:

It feels like we've been waiting forever for the release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier - approximately one year, seven months, 30 days, and 19 hours to be precise - but that wait is almost over. We are know exactly three weeks away from the movie hitting theaters, and we are just as excited as all of you. Be sure to stay tuned for not only more news about the movie and Marvel Studios future, but also a ton of fun editorials as well as our interviews with the entire cast and the filmmakers!

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Captain America: The Winter Soldier finds its titular hero (Chris Evans) still trying to adjust in the modern world, and working as a field agent alongside Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) for S.H.I.E.L.D. When tragedy strikes, however, Cap suddenly realizes that he has no idea who he can trust - including the incredibly powerful organization he is a part of - and things are only made worse by the return of a ghost from his past. Sebastian Stan, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Emily VanCamp, Hayley Atwell, Robert Redford and Samuel L. Jackson all co-star in the film, which will be in theaters her in the U.S. on April 4th.
