Charlie Sheen Floats Over L.A. In Latest Glimpse Inside the Mind Of Charles Swan III Poster
Charles Swan III, the character that Charlie Sheen plays in his latest comedy, is really just a riff on Sheen himself, right? I mean, heís playing a Hollywood-based graphic designer whoís life falls apart after the love of his life leaves him. But itís all just a glorified excuse for Sheen to keep the meta, national joke at this own expense going, isnít it?
Thatís what I got out of the red-band trailer for A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III, a nudity-laden spoof of Sheenís demented mind. Even the conventional trailer basically featured a litany of celebrity co-stars telling Sheenís character heís unlikable, self-centered and detestable. So yeah, more of the same. And the new poster for Roman Coppola's comedy lays Sheen out like heís in a floating casket, hovering over downtown Los Angeles. Subtle.
Coppola writes and directs the film, his first endeavor since the quirky 2001 film CQ with Jeremy Davies. Iím sure Sheen will fit right in to this inquisitive drama. And the good news is that you donít really have to wait to see Charles Swann if you donít want to. The movie is now available on VOD ahead of its February release, and might be worth renting just to see Sheen interacting with the likes of Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman as they wait for the next Wes Anderson movie to roll around.
The cast also boasts a ton of entertaining support players, from Aubrey Plaza and Mary Elizabeth Winstead to the remarkable Patricia Arquette. But really, itís Sheenís show. Are you interested?
