Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong Wants To Make Some Violent Music In Deleted This Is 40 Clip
Judd Apatow has included at least one celebrity cameo in all of the films he has directed since Knocked Up, and his latest, This is 40, is no different. At one point in the movie some of the characters are at a concert when Billy Joe Armstrong, the lead singer of Green Day, makes an appearance. Armstrong does get a few lines in the movie, but the truth is that he was originally in it for a lot longer - but now that deleted scene has arrived online.
Obviously the movie is now in theaters, but Universal Pictures is wasting no time showing us scenes that didn't make the final cut. We brought you this five minute scene earlier in the week, but now you can watch this new one with Armstrong and Paul Rudd. Enjoy! It's not hard to see why this scene wasn't in the movie, as it didn't really contribute to the larger picture and the film is already two hours and 14 minutes long, but I have to admit I chuckled a bit at this. Armstrong's acting is a bit iffy at the start, but once they start getting into a back-and-forth it's pretty clever.
This is 40, which also stars Leslie Mann, Maude Apatow, Iris Apatow, Megan Fox, Albert Brooks, John Lithgow, Chris O'Dowd, Jason Segel, and Melissa McCarthy, is now playing in cinemas nationwide.
