At Comic Con earlier this month, Peter Jackson and the folks behind The Hobbit really brought the goods to Hall H. In addition to bringing an impressive 12 minutes of footage from the film itself - featuring riddles in caves, trolls, giants, dwarfs and much, much more - they also delivered a brand new, never-before-seen production video blog chronicling the final days of shooting. Now Jackson has apparently decided to reedit that footage to include some tape from his time in San Diego, and now that video has arrived online.
Just like all of the others, the blog popped up over on Jackson's official Facebook page and shows quite a lot of great stuff. Check it out below! The Hobbitserves as a prequel of sorts to Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy and tells the story of Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) as he sets out of Bag End with a troop of dwarfs to rescue a long lost treasure from a dragon named Smaug. The first half, An Unexpected Journey, will be released on December 14th of this year while the second, There And Back Again, will be in theaters on December 13, 2013. The cast is a great mix of actors both new and old to the franchise, including Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Ian Holm, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, Elijah Wood, Evangeline Lilly, Andy Serkis, Richard Armitage, Lee Evans and many more.
