When you are putting out a teaser trailer for an animated film that likely isn't finished yet and won't hit theaters for nearly another year, what's the best way to kill time without showing much of anything? Most teasers aim for words on a black background with an intense voiceover, but I suppose a staring contest works too-- at least, if the staring contest is with Po the Panda, a character we already like enough to let him get away with it.

Relying on the song "Kung Fu Fighting" and the promise that Po is still as obnoxious and lovable as last night, the teaser trailer for Kung Fu Panda 2 (sometimes given the subtitle The Kaboom of Doom) has hit the web, and you can watch it below. It doesn't feature much more than just Po preparing to rock his new kung fu skills, but at this point, that's all we really need. The movie hits theaters next summer on May 26.
