Peter Parker Is Taking Off His Mask Again In New Still From The Amazing Spider-Man
As much as I love Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 - and I really, really love it - there is something that irks me every time I watch it: Spidey reveals his identity to EVERYONE. Harry, Mary Jane, Doc Ock, and a subway car full of people get to see what the superhero looks like under his mask, which isn't great for a character that is known for being incredibly protective of his identity. Hell, even Aunt May basically figures out that Peter is Spider-Man in that movie. We can only hope that there's not too much of that going on in Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man, but looking at the new still from Entertainment Weekly I'm not holding my breath.
Though the 2012 preview issue of the magazine won't be hitting shelves until tomorrow, a reader over at Coming Soon has received a copy and has uploaded the new image. See it below or full size over on their site.
Starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, and Campbell Scott, The Amazing Spider-Man goes back to the origins of the wall-crawling superhero and how he got his powers. The movie will also be the first time that the character faces off against The Lizard on the big screen. The film is due out on July 3rd and to read more about it you can go over to our Blend Film Database. |
