Most of the talk around Remember Me is, naturally, centered around Robert Pattinson. Next to Taylor Lautner he’s the biggest male star on the planet. And I just threw up a little in my mouth when I said that. Like it or not, it’s true and Remember Me is Pattinson’s chance to prove he’s more than just that dude from Twilight.

But in the two clips from Remember Me below, it’s not Pattinson who really seems like he might have something. It’s Emile de Ravin, probably best known as Claire on Lost, who steals the scenes. Most remarkably, she does it by playing one of those cliché, I eat my desert first, female love interests. And seriously, I hate those characters. No woman that skinny eats desert at all, let alone in place of her actual meals. And even if she did, it’s ridiculous logic. It’s based on the notion that the rest of your food is just something you have to put up with to get to the ice cream, an attitude any reasonable person should have abandoned by the time they turned eleven. Anyone who hasn’t has serious maturity issues and should be almost immediately discounted as undateable.
