Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, And More Raise A Pint In New The World's End Character Posters
The summer blockbuster season is now in a full-on sprint, and it means that some of our most anticipated titles are just around the corner. One such movie is most certainly Edgar Wright’s The World’s End, the completion of the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy that also includes Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. The new film will be hitting theaters towards the end of the season, but now we have these new character posters courtesy of Empire to keep us excited.
The British film magazine has debuted six new one-sheets for the upcoming comedy, and you’ll notice that instead of having character archetype labels like these kinds of posters normally do, instead they’ve been given clever pub-type names that serve a fairly similar service. There isn’t a great deal of creativity in the design otherwise, but it is still nice to be reminded of how awesome this cast is. Check out two more pieces below and head over to Empire for versions with Eddie Marsan, Paddy Considine and Rosamund Pike.
The World’s End stars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman Eddie Marsan, and Paddy Considine as five childhood friends who reunite in middle age to try and accomplish an epic task they were never able to accomplish as kids: a twelve stop, mile long pub crawl. Upon returning home, however, they discover a serious problem: the robot apocalypse has begun. Wright and Pegg co-wrote the script, as they did with the previous two films in the series, and you’ll be able to see the movie in theaters on August 23rd.
