Superman Helps The Coast Guard In New Shots From The Man Of Steel Set
Guessing from previous set photos, one can assume that Superman, played by Henry Cavill, will be spending a good chunk of Zack Snyder's Man of Steel as a homeless person (or at least a derelict). Shots posted earlier this month showed Supes sporting a pretty heavy beard, tussled hair and a big, bulky jacket, not exactly what we expect to see Superman wearing. But just because he's not taking care of himself doesn't mean he's not taking care of others. Need more proof? Just check out the newest set photos from the Man of Steel shoot in Vancouver, Canada.
Set a green screen, the production appears to be filming a scene in which Supes assists a couple of coast guards. Check out some of the shots below and the full gallery over on Socialite Life.
While we still don't know very much about the plot, Man of Steel will retell the origin story of Superman, from his birth on Krypton to his time on Kent Farm to his time as the world's most powerful superhero. The cast includes Michael Shannon, as the villainous General Zod; Amy Adams as Lois Lane; Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent; Diane Lane as Martha Kent; Laurence Fishburne as Perry White; Russell Crowe as Jor-El; Ayelet Zurer as Lara; and Antje Traue as Faora. Other actors include Christopher Meloni and Harry Lennix. Man of Steel arrives in theaters on June 14, 2013. For more about the movie, be sure to head over to our Blend Film Database.
